Sri Lanka Tourism creates waves in the Russia’s No.1 Travel and Tourism Exhibition – MITT in Moscow

Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB) with the support of the Sri Lanka Embassy in Russia Federation participated Moscow International Travel and Tourism Exhibition in Russia from 23rd March to 26th March 2016 in Fairgrounds,ExpoCenter,Moscow,Russia.

The colourful Sri Lanka booth became one of the main attractions of the visitors to the fair which was organised by the SLTPB with the participation of industry stakeholders. The stand depicted eight themes which were Pristine, Essence, Heritage, Wild, Thrills, Heritage, Festivals and Bliss, highlighting main tourist attractions of the island.

The 50 year Tourism Golden Jubilee celebration logo was also depicted on the Sri Lanka Tourism stand to highlight the importance of this milestone.

The Sri Lanka Stand was declared opened by H.E.Dr.Saman Weerasinghe, the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Russian Federation. MITT is the Russia’s largest and longest running travel exhibition which has participation over 1800 companies and 192 destinations and considered to be the key meeting place for the industry and an opportunity to catch up with colleagues and clients. The travel exhibition has concluded successfully, creating the awareness on the country and creating opportunities for tourism industry stakeholders of Sri Lanka.
