Anantara to launch first resort in Sri Lanka

152-room and villa Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle Resort to open in Q4 2015

Thailand’s Minor Hotel Group will open its first Anantara resort in Sri Lanka in the fourth quarter of 2015.

Located in a 17-hectare beachfront setting on the island’s south coast, Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle Resort will feature 120 rooms and 32 one- and two-bedroom villas with private plunge pools. The two-bedroom villas also feature an indoor dining rooms and pantries.

Resort facilities will include six F&B outlets, including a Sri Lankan-inspired Teppanyaki outlet which overlooks the beach and a cliff-side Italian restaurant and wine cellar. There is also an outdoor swimming pool, a 24-hour gym, tennis and badminton courts, a library, kids’ club and an Anantara Spa with eight treatment rooms, a reflexology centre and beauty and hair salons.Located in a 17-hectare beachfront setting on the island’s south coast, Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle Resort will feature 120 rooms and 32 one- and two-bedroom villas with private plunge pools. The resort is also located close to wildlife reserves and 30-minutes from Rekawa, a turtle conservation project.

The resort will continue Minor’s expansion in Sri Lanka, where the group already operates two hotels under its Avani brand.
