The Ceylon Hotel School Graduates Association (CHSGA) together with CDC Events and Travels announced a three-day mega show, the 10th edition of ‘Hotel Show Colombo 2015’ which will be held from 22 to 24 May at the BMICH.
Hotel Show Colombo 2015 will be the ideal event for industry suppliers to showcase their products and services to decision-makers of the hospitality industry. The event is open to both local and international suppliers and this year there has been unprecedented interest from international suppliers.
Ceylon Hotel School Graduates Association President Eksath Wijeratne stated: “Hotel Show 2015 is not only the best in South Asia, it also highlights the development and progress of the hospitality industry of Sri Lanka. We invite all stakeholders of the industry to be a part of this event. Best to act fast as stalls are already being booked by past exhibitors.”
Wijeratne added that by realising that, from a five star hotel to a small outlet, restaurant owners need some kind of guidance. “CHSGA looked around and found the requirement of a hotel exhibition, where all stakeholders come under one roof to show the latest developments and latest changes in the world and see how best they can improve their business through their efficiency.”
Several concurrent events will be held alongside the trade fair in order to engage the hospitality fraternity and the general public. A street food carnival, barista competition, cocktail competition, hot cooking apprentice culinary challenge and several trade seminars will add flair and flavour to the event.
SLTPB Chairman Rohantha Athukorala stated: “This is a very powerful and strong industry which brings in revenue of 1.7 million. I would like to congratulate the Ceylon Hotel School Graduates Association and CDC Events and Travels for promoting Hotel Show Colombo 2015. It is a unique industry and makes a dominant contribution to our country.”
Delegations of international buyers too are expected to visit the event to conduct business, further cementing the position of Hotel Show Colombo as South Asia’s best.
