Anantara hotel to be built in Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka’s first Anantara resort will open on the country’s southern coast in 2015.

Sri Lanka-based developer Hemas Holdings reached an agreement with Thailand’s Minor Hotel Group to build a five-star resort in Tangalle, Sri Lanka.

The $40 million property will have 154 guestrooms as well as three restaurants and a spa.

There are 26 Anantara hotels in Asia and the Middle East.
